The Problem…

Fear has gripped our generation — fear of the future, fear of rejection, fear of standing for truth. The world tells us to stay quiet, play it safe, and blend in. But beneath the fear, hearts across America are waking up, hungry for the fire of God again. People are ready for revival — they just need the courage to rise.

At Brave Church, we help people trade fear for faith and live Spirit-empowered lives that shake the world around them. We believe revival starts with people, spiritually hungry people — learning to pray loud, love boldly, and stand strong for what they believe. God moves in the lives of those people. This is more than a church; it’s an opportunity for people to believe and become brave together.

 CORE VALUES & BELIEFS

  • We believe the church is called to gather in person. Scripture commands us to meet regularly and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being together allows us to fully live out the practices of our faith — worshiping, praying, laying on of hands, baptizing new believers, and celebrating the sacraments. Whether few or many, in times of peace or pressure, indoors or outdoors — we will continue to meet and minister freely, without restriction, as the Bible instructs.

    Zeph 2:1, Mark 2:27, Hebrews 10:25

  • We believe growth happens when hunger meets action. When people pray, study the Bible, serve, give, and take bold steps of faith, God does what only He can — He transforms lives from the inside out. Spiritual growth isn’t perfection; it’s progress — a daily pursuit of becoming more like Jesus.

    Philippians 1:6, Colossians 2:6-7, 2 Peter 3:18, James 4:8

  • We believe generosity is the heartbeat of the Kingdom. The Bible teaches several forms of giving that keep our hearts aligned with God’s and advance His work on the earth.

Tithe — The tithe means returning the first 10% of our income to God — it belongs to Him. Tithing isn’t a transaction; it’s an act of trust that invites God’s blessing and provision.

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great you won’t have room to take it in.”

    – Malachi 3:10

Offering — An offering is what we give above the tithe to honor God and advance His mission. Giving generously releases joy and creates room for God to multiply what remains.

“Whoever sows generously will also reap generously… for God loves a cheerful giver.”

    – 2 Corinthians 9:6–8

Charity (Alms Giving) — God cares for the poor and hurting, and we should too. Giving to those in need reflects His compassion and brings blessing to those who give.

“Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing.” – Proverbs 28:27

  • We believe faith was never meant to sit still. Our default is action — to go, reach, serve, and love people wherever they are. Through our ministry teams (Dream Team), we put faith into motion, using our gifts to impact our city, our nation, and our world with the Gospel of Jesus, one brave step at a time.

    Mark 16:15-18, Romans 10:14-15, James 1:22

  • God — We believe God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present — the Creator and Ruler over all things. He is the first person of the Trinity and the source of all life, love, and authority. Everything begins and ends with Him. (Psalm 115:1–3; Colossians 1:16)

Jesus Christ — We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and gave His life on the cross to redeem humanity through His shed blood. He rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will one day return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5)

Holy Spirit — We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live bold and carry the Gospel to the world. He’s not a force to study but a presence to experience — the same Spirit poured out at Pentecost still moves today. His gifts empower us, and His fruit marks our lives as we live Spirit-led every day. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6)

The Bible — We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — timeless, trustworthy, and true. It is the final authority for what we believe and how we live. Every word reveals God’s heart and invites us to build our lives on His truth. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25–26)

Salvation — We believe salvation is God’s free gift — made possible through Jesus’ death and resurrection. It’s not earned by works but received by grace through faith in Christ alone. When we surrender our lives to Him, we are forgiven, made new, and empowered to live with purpose. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

The Church — We believe the Church is God’s plan to reach the world — a living movement, not just a building. Every believer is called to play a part in advancing the Kingdom through preaching the gospel, teaching the whole council of God’s word, worship, service, generosity and relational influence. Together, we are the body of Christ, carrying His hope to our city and beyond. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 4:11–13; Acts 2:42–47)

  • We believe marriage is a sacred covenant created and defined by God as the union between one biological man and one biological woman. It reflects Christ’s love for His Church and provides the foundation for family and community. For this reason, our pastors and staff solemnize and celebrate only those marriages that align with this biblical design.

    (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32)

  • We believe every human life is sacred and created by God in His image. From conception to natural death, every person carries divine worth and purpose. Because life begins at conception, we reject abortion and any act that devalues or destroys innocent human life. We are called to honor, protect, and defend life in every stage.

    (Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Genesis 1:27)

  • We believe God created humanity in His image — male and female — each wonderfully designed to reflect His nature. To reject one’s biological gender is to reject God’s image and design within that person.

Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy is a gift meant to be experienced within that covenant alone. We uphold God’s standard for purity, reject all forms of sexual immorality, and extend grace and restoration to anyone seeking forgiveness and new life in Jesus.

    (Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11; Hebrews 13:4)
