Dr. J.J. Rosener

Pastor JJ is the founding and lead pastor of Brave Church in Minnetonka, MN. Born and raised in southwest Minneapolis, JJ felt a clear call to ministry from the moment he graduated Rhema Bible college in Tulsa, OK — a call to plant a life-giving church that would impact the Twin Cities with faith, family, and purpose.
With over 24 years of pastoral experience and a decade as a business leader, JJ brings a unique voice to both ministry and the marketplace. His messages are bold, practical, and anchored in one conviction: “ God has a great adventure for everyone.” He’s passionate about helping people follow Jesus wholeheartedly — not just on Sundays, but in everyday life at home and at work.
In March 2023, JJ earned his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from North Central Theological Seminary, equipping him to train and mentor emerging leaders. He’s also an avid outdoorsman who loves spending time with his wife, Pastor Shechele, their three boys, and grandson.
Together, the Rosener family leads Brave Church with vision, authenticity, and a heart to see people live brave, build strong, and make a lasting impact.
Rev. Shechele Rosener, C.E.C.P.

Pastor Shechele is a passionate communicator, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Brave Church. Originally from southwest Missouri, she studied at Southern Baptist University and Rhema Bible College, where her love for God’s Word and people took root early.
Known for her insightful and fiery preaching, Shechele carries a gift for making Scripture come alive in practical, life-changing ways. Whether she’s speaking on stage or sitting across from someone in conversation, her words inspire courage, healing, and faith that moves forward.
Beyond ministry, Shechele leads a thriving soul-care practice, helping people experience emotional freedom and spiritual wholeness. As an entrepreneur and mentor to women, she’s passionate about empowering others to raise strong families, build thriving faith, and find peace and purpose in the midst of busy, modern life.
Together with her husband, Pastor JJ Rosener, Shechele has served in ministry for more than two decades. Married for 26 years, they’re the proud parents of three boys and one grandson, and they love spending time outdoors with family and friends.
